Today in the UK is National Work at Home Day. I thought this breaking bingo news was well worth a mention;It is believed that the biggest ever worldwide bingo jackpot has been won!  The amount of £1.1 million was won at a local land based bingo hall in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales.  The lucky winner has been named as Christine Bradfield, aged 53, who is married to Ray, and also a mother of two, and a grandmother of 3. 

Her bingo win came to the total amount of £1,101,686.Christine is quoted as saying that she and her sister-in-law always share their bingo winnings, and so half of her big bingo jackpot will be given to her sister-in-law.Christine, who works 3 days a week as a garage forecourt shop assistant, said she will not be quitting her job because she would only end up spending the fortune on shopping every day.

  However, her husband Ray, aged 54, is said to be considering whether or not he will remain in his job, saying that the win may change his life. “I’ve told my crane driving firm that I might give up work but I don’t know yet,” he said. “I’ve worked hard my entire life. It would be weird not working – I don’t know what I would do with myself.”

The National Bingo Game’s chief executive Paul Talboys is quoted as saying “What a wonderful night for bingo. We know it is the biggest bingo win ever in this country but believe it to be the biggest in the world. It is just the boost we needed in these difficult times.”
