The last long weekend of the summer for Canada and U.S.A. with labour day events taking place all over the weekend, and of course on the main memorial day itself, Monday 1st September. Wherever you are, or whatever you are doing this weekend, we wish you a happy and peaceful labour day holiday.

I’ve had several emails from people in Canada, Australia and U.S.A. recently asking if they can play bingo online at Starlight Bingo, and what currency they have to use.  To answer those questions; Yes, you can play bingo online at Starlight Bingo if you reside in any of those countries, we have many bingo players from around the world, including Canada, USA, and Australia, some of whom have been with us since we first started out, over 6 years ago, with many new players joining us from these countries every day, as well as from UK and Europe.

When you sign up for your Starlight Bingo Account, you select the currency of your choice from US$, CAD$, AUS$, GBP£ or Euro’s. A hat trick, (or hat-trick), is a term used in sports when a triple is scored.  I’m not sure if the same term can be officially applied to bingo, but hey, I’m gonna use it because we had a bingo hat trick with our Viva Las Vegas Competions. The player known as trudy_bm managed to get ahead and stay ahead on points in 3 of our bingo las vegas competions, resulting in her winning 3 x 3-day weekend trips to Las Vegas! Now that has to be a hat trick don’t you think?  Congratulations to trudy_bm, I’m sure she will have the time of her life in Las Vegas. The competitions have ended for the time being, but will resume again in October.

I had an email from one of our newer UK bingo players, who was asking about bingo patterns. Mostly uk bingo is played in the 90 ball bingo variation, with 75 ball bingo being the more popular bingo game in America. The 75 ball bingo game can have many variations of pattern. Sometimes for instance you will see a game announced that will say something like ‘bingo on the ‘L’ pattern’. This means that on the bingo grid, you will see an ‘L’ and you need to get all the numbers that form that letter to win. It isn’t always alphabetical letters that are the basis of the bingo patterns. Numbers and symbols can be used, as well as outlines of pictures, for instance an easter egg or a christmas tree.

You can devise you own bingo pattern and send it in to us. We cannot guarantee all bingo patterns submitted will be used, but we try our best to incorporate new patterns into the bingo games. If you want to create a special bingo pattern to send to us, just go to our bingo patterns page, and fill in the squares that will outline your pattern, then select either static (still) or moving. Its a good time to start experimenting with patterns, maybe you can come up with a great Christmas pattern that we can use, and you can have the thrill of seeing your very own bingo pattern in play at Starlight Bingo, and who knows, you may even win a jackpot on your own pattern!  Anything is possible in the world of bingo online.
